Dr. Silvia Vicente, also a founder of Islington Village Health, earned her undergraduate degree with Honours in Biochemistry at Ryerson University before graduating Suma Cum Laude at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008.  Since then, Dr. Vicente has led a team of highly skilled healthcare practitioners and is experienced in treating patients of all ages and is proficient in a variety of techniques including diversified techniques, kinesiotaping and muscle/fascia release.  For questions or concerns, email dr.vicente@islingtonvillagehealth.com.

Chiropractor and Clinical Director
One of the founders of Islington Village Health, Dr. Larga has an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Psychology.  She graduated with distinction from York University and went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. With over 6 years of rehabilitation management experience, Dr. Larga has developed an approach to injury management that is based on current research and measurable patient outcomes.  Dr. Larga also holds a certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and has had certification in Active Release Techniques, Functional Range Conditioning, and Activator Methods.  As a Can Fit Pro trained group instructor, she has worked in both the athletic training and sports rehabilitation fields. Dr. Jade Egonia,

Dr. Jade Egonia B.Sc. (Hon Kin), D.C., Chiropractor 

Dr. Jade Egonia obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has an undergraduate degree of Honours Kinesiology and graduated in the Dean’s Honours List from University of Waterloo. She uses a variety of techniques to treat various musculoskeletal disorders such as spinal and extremity adjustments, joint mobilization, traction, soft tissue therapy, biomedical acupuncture, electrical stimulation, laser therapy, and personalized rehabilitative exercises. Dr. Jade has a special interest in sports injuries and management. She has training experience with University of Waterloo Women’s Warriors Varsity Basketball Team, Mimico Mountaineers Junior A and Junior C Lacrosse Club, and Mississauga Monarchs U19 Girls Basketball team. In her free time, she keeps fit by playing basketball, tennis, and training in boxing and Muay Thai.



Priyal Shah, PT

Priyal Shah PT, Physiotherapist 

Priyal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from India and is now a registered Physiotherapist of Ontario. She’s gained experience in musculoskeletal, neurological and cardio respiratory fields with all ages of population.

Priyal works on client-centered approach which includes the equal participation of the client in setting goals. After diagnosing and identifying the primary cause of impairments, Priyal believes in rendering unique and effective treatments for each client that include different intervention approaches such as: client education, manual therapy, soft tissues techniques, kinesio tapping, electrical modalities and active exercise rehab. She strongly promotes health wellness and improvised quality of life for each individual. Priyal has also acquired knowledge to render vestibular rehabilitation.

Priyal continues ongoing education workshops in hands on skills, like soft tissues techniques and manual therapy as she believes ‘Learning is a lifelong process’. Apart from work, Priyal enjoys various sports like cricket, volleyball and biking.

Maria Salada, PT

Maria  Salada PT, Physiotherapist 

Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctors’ University in Cebu City, Philippines. She worked as a physiotherapist in Jeddah, KSA for 7 years before moving to Canada. In Canada, she worked as a Physiotherapist Assistant until writing the Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Examination in April 2014. Since then, she has been practicing physiotherapy specializing in mobilization, active therapy and laser therapy. Maria is always continuing her education, she is certified in Bioflex Laser Therapy, and Manual Therapy Mulligan Concept for upper quadrant. Recently she acquired the Level 1& 2 certification for Pelvic Health therapy. Maria always employs patient-centered treatment and strives to attain treatment goals. She regularly checks the patient’s progress and treatment response, and modifies the treatments as needed.

Halyna Dmytriv, Registered Massage Therapist  

Halyna is a graduate of Wellspring College of Massage Therapy and is an experienced therapist with success treating many patients populations, including pre and post natal.  Her goal is to assess and address various musculo-skeletal and neurological conditions and is able to provide education and ergonomic recommendations.   Halyna uses a multitude of techniques including relaxation, trigger point, deep tissue, acupuncture and cupping to decrease pain from stress and physical strain.




Kal Michael, RMT

During his University studies in psychology Kal became interested in the mind-body connection and in particular how physical, mental and emotional stressors affect our body and health.  After completing his degree he enrolled in the Massage Therapy program and have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1999.
Committed to life long learning, Kal has taken numerous post graduate courses further enhancing his strong clinical skills.  Kal is trained in a wide variety of techniques and modalities including swedish, pregnancy massage, sports massage, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, scar tissue massage, joint mobilizations, hot stone therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, ifc/tens, reiki level 1, kinesiology and remedial exercise.

Charlene is a Registered Massage Therapist from the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario with a good standing. She graduated her Massage Therapy course from Bryan College in 2016. She earned a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education in the Philippines and is a Licensed Teacher.

She believes that massage therapy is non-invasive approach to any muscular and joint problems. Charlene is passionate, professional and dedicated therapist. Her training includes trigger point therapy, manual lymph drainage, pregnancy massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and Swedish massage.

Zarna Desai, Clinic Manager

Zarna is the heart of the clinic. She is the first person you will meet when you come in. Originally from India, Zarna graduated with a Bachelor of Science from South Gujarat University. In 2007 she moved to Canada with her family and started her career in office management. Zarna came to us with 8 years of office managerial experience including, working with EHC, MVA, WSIB and Slip&Fall cases. Her dedication, organization, and attention to detail make her an invaluable member of the team.
