Dr. Silvia Vicente, also a founder of Eglinton West Physiotherapy, earned her undergraduate degree with Honours in Biochemistry at Ryerson University before graduating Suma Cum Laude at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008.  Since then, Dr. Vicente has led a team of highly skilled healthcare practitioners and is experienced in treating patients of all ages and is proficient in a variety of techniques including diversified techniques, kinesiotaping and muscle/fascia release.  She is a registered member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.

One of the founders of Eglinton West Physiotherapy, Dr. Larga has an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Psychology.  She graduated with distinction from York University and went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Dr. Larga has developed an approach to injury management that is based on current research and measurable patient outcomes.  Dr. Larga also holds a certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and has had certification in Active Release Techniques, Functional Range Conditioning, and Activator Methods.  As a Can Fit Pro trained group instructor, she has worked in both the athletic training and sports rehabilitation fields. She is a registered member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.

Jonathan Mojica
PT, Physiotherapist

Jonathan is an internationally educated physiotherapist and has completed his bridging program at Ryerson University. His treatments focus on patient education, manual therapy, soft tissue therapy, therapeutic exercises and also combines other treatment principles to help patients become more independent. He also has had additional training in McKenzie protocol, Mulligan mobilizations and KT taping techniques. He takes pride in motivating patients to be more active. He is a registered member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is fluent in Tagalog.

Priyal Shah

Priyal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from India and is now a registered Physiotherapist of Ontario. She is experienced in musculoskeletal, neurological and cardio respiratory rehabilitation. Priyal works on client-centered approach which includes goal setting. After diagnosing and identifying the primary cause of impairments, Priyal believes in rendering unique and effective treatments for each client that include different intervention approaches such as: client education, manual therapy, soft tissues techniques, kinesio tapping, electrical modalities and active exercise rehab. She strongly promotes health wellness and improvised quality of life for each individual. Priyal has also acquired knowledge to render vestibular rehabilitation. Priyal continues ongoing education workshops in hands on skills, like soft tissues techniques and manual therapy as she believes ‘Learning is a lifelong process’. She is a registered member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.

Leandro Galvao

Leandro graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2017. In addition, he has bachelor degree in Physiotherapy (2005) and Master Degree in Sports Injury (2006) earned in Brazil. As he continues in the profession, he seeks to take more courses to help benefit clients and assist them in reaching their goals. Leandro has always had a passion for helping people, and is successful in treating stress related concerns, injuries, acute and chronic pain with varied techniques.  Leandro enjoys spending time with his family and friends and enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports.  He is a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Uly is a skilled massage therapist, and enjoys focusing on deep tissue, sports injuries and rehabilitation from injuries and surgeries. He is also interested in providing relaxation massages to help with chronic stress, anxiety and headaches. He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

David Pressé

David studied at the University of Waterloo. He has been a practicing chiropodist since 1986. He is a registered member of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

Zarna Desai

Zarna is the heart of the clinic. She is the first person you will meet when you come in. Originally from India, Zarna graduated with a Bachelor of Science from South Gujarat University. In 2007 she moved to Canada with her family and started her career in office management. Zarna came to us with 8 years of office managerial experience including, working with EHC, MVA, WSIB and Slip & Fall cases. Her dedication, organization, and attention to detail make her an invaluable member of the team. She is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.
