My goal for clients is to help them begin and/or maintain an active, healthy balance in life with massage being a key element. The benefits of massage can be found in the treatment of an acute injury, chronic issues, or just a part of regular physical and mental maintenance.
In addition to my formal training in Swedish style massage therapy, I have been trained in techniques that focus on deep tissue, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), trigger point release therapy, remedial exercise and stretching.
I have taken the TMJ Mastery program which focuses on the treatment of TMJ dysfunction, and can involve intra-oral massage techniques. In addition, I have taken the Modern Cupping Therapy course. Cupping Therapy can have a variety of benefits, some of which are increased circulation, clearing of stagnation and congestion, and rehydration and manipulation of tissues.
