Services

A Drug-Free, Hands on Approach to Health Care

Chiropractors diagnose and treat causes of pain, use a hands-on, non-invasive, drugless approach, and correct joint motion and restore proper movement.  Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

The Promotion of Mobility, Functional Ability and Quality of Life

Physiotherapists aid patients in moving affected body parts, restoring their functional abilities and helping to prevent the onset of further dysfunction or disability. Through a series of therapy programs and prescription exercises, physiotherapists are able to help people achieve long term results and ultimately a healthy lifestyle.

Restoring Muscle Function for Well Being

Massage Therapy can be described as methodical friction, stroking or kneading of the body with the hands to relieve stress, promote relaxation, improve circulation and stimulate muscle function.  Massage therapists are professionally trained to assess and treat a wide range of conditions from sports and work-related injuries to stress, headaches and arthritis. A sense of renewed energy and relaxation is often felt in response to these treatments.

Personalized Bio-mechanical Correction

Custom orthotics are corrective devices made to control abnormal foot function, re-establish proper weight distribution and improve overall biomechanics.  Subtle imbalances in the foot are amplified as they go up the leg, knee, hip and back resulting in problems that may not have been properly assessed due to lack of a full biomechanical evaluation.

Stability for Pain Management

Custom  Braces provide stability to injured structures and can be used for a variety of conditions that may cause pain or limit your function.  Each brace is fitted and designed to help you achieve relief and allows you to return to sport or work related tasks.

Benefits for Circulation

Compression stockings are designed to increase circulation.  Benefits include reduction of varicose veins, controlling edema and decreasing leg discomfort.

A Safe and Effective Form of Therapy

Acupuncture is the use of hair-thin, sterilized needles inserted into points around the body to affect the bodys energy flow and circulation.  Studies have shown that acupuncture can increase the release of endorphins (the bodys natural pain killers), thereby supporting the mainstream use of acupuncture for the treatment of pain and pain conditions without the use of drugs or surgery. The most common conditions effectively treated with Acupuncture are chronic pain, headaches, a wide variety of injuries, stress, and insomnia.

Let us deal with the paperwork so you can focus on recovery

Healing with Light Therapy

Laser therapy also referred to as low level light or laser therapy (LLLT) is the use of superluminous diodes that deliver red and infra-red light to damaged tissues.  The light is absorbed by blood, muscle and bone cells which lead to a series of physical reactions restoring cells to normal structure and function. The result of this therapeutic process includes a decrease in pain and increases the tissues natural healing processes.

Unlike high intense lasers, low level laser therapy does not cut or burn tissues. It is completely safe with no adverse side effects. The laser is highly effective in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, arthritis, sports injuries, wound healing and a wide range of dermatological conditions.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based program designed to improve balance and reduce problems related to dizziness.  Patients typically referred for vestibular rehabilitation therapy are those diagnosed with dizziness, imbalance, vertigo, Menieres syndrome, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and migraines.

Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy focuses on the rehabilitation of the muscles of pelvic floor after pregnancy, injury or dysfunction.
This technique can be used to treat incontinence, prolapse or pelvic floor weakness.

Talk Therapy is a way to help people with a broad variety of emotional difficulties. Counselling can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.
